A DBS (Disclosure from Barring Service) is a background check on spent or unspent convictions. Tutordel uses this to ensure safety for our students and tutors. We also ask for tutor ID and interview tutors. We make sure that all tutors are suitable to work with children and adults before their profiles go live. A DBS is not compulsory in most regions where Tutordel operates and for online tutoring.
