It’s important to make sure you have the right tech and make sure it’s up to date to get the most out of your lessons. You’ll need:

The right device

  • A Windows laptop or desktop computer

  • A MacBook or iMac

  • An iPad

    • Please note that Amazon Fire & Some selected tablets are not compatible with our platform

  • A graphics tablet can be really useful (but you don’t need one!).

Please don't access your lesson from a mobile phone. The lesson space was designed to be used specifically on laptops or computers, so delivering a lesson from a mobile phone will lower the lesson quality for yourself and your students. If you're experiencing tech problems on your laptop/PC, please contact our tech support team on LiveChat (bottom right-hand side of the screen), who'll be best placed to support you.

A microphone

  • A wired headset with a microphone works best.

We don’t recommend wireless devices (like AirPods) as these are susceptible to interference and can lead to audio echoes or no audio at all.

A webcam

  • Any webcam will do!

    • Please note that OBS (Open Broadcaster Software) is not recommended as this interferes with the space

A strong internet connection

  • See how you can get the most out of your internet connection here.

  • You need at least 2mb/s upload and 5 mb/s download speeds.

The right browser

  • We recommend Google Chrome, but try Edge (Chromium), Safari or Firefox too to see which is best for you.

    • If you’re using an iPad, you need to use Safari.

  • Make sure that your browser is up to date.

  • Using Incognito mode is no longer compatible with our new platform - please do not use this.
